Life’s hurdles can knock us for six. We can be left feeling hurt, confused, sad or furious. Sometimes we may feel flat or dead with a sense of inability to gain the zest for life we once had or desire.Anne-Marie Pellew

Talking therapy can be an opportunity to explore these challenges in depth; to work out why things are so hard. Understanding who we are can help us to stop repeating patterns, to have a sense of greater control and to move forward. I aim to help clients to see their own potential, to look at experiences through new eyes, to gain insight and awareness of how they think and feel and to move to a new place.

I believe we are strongly impacted by our life experiences that they shape who we are. Our early years in particular build our vision and expectations of the world around us.

I am a BACP Accredited Therapist. I have 14 years’ experience working with clients through a range of experiences. I trained at the Leeds Metropolitan University – relational model (accredited course BACP) and have been working in Leeds at Leeds Counselling and within the NHS Improved Access to Psychological Therapies Service.

I believe I am particularly able to attune to a client’s perspective and to assist them on their journey through life.

Consultations

I have a private therapy room within my home in Tadcaster and offer 50 minute weekly appointments. I can offer both longer and shorter contracts where necessary.

My fees are £45 per session.

There is plenty of on street parking, the Coastliner bus service also stops nearby. This is a safe private space.
